This title truly summarizes how my life has been during these past few months. One big change right after another, nonstop. Most of these changes are positive, all are challenging and I'm so excited for what's to come!

First of all, Bailey came back home to stay with us because things didn't work out quite as well as we had hoped with the potential new owners. But that's alright. We're glad to have our sweet boy back. (:
I passed Level 1 with Lady sometime in July and we're currently progressing through L2 Online.
I got my red string in late September. It was such an exciting moment!

I'm still planning on going through to L3 Online and Liberty before thinking about approaching riding with her. This horse is my mirror and I love her to bits, but I'm still hoping to find a nice, safe, ride-able horse to ease me into riding between now and then.

On October 10th I rang in my 19th Birthday! It was on 10/10/2010 which was pretty neat. My mom and grandma got together and cooked a big Birthday supper and I had a great time relaxing with my family.

In a parallel area of my life, on September 22 I had Lap-Band surgery. If you're not familiar with Lap-Band then check this out.*<--click*

One of my big goals is to become an athlete for my horses and myself and this surgery is the path that was laid at my feet. I just went with it and I haven't looked back. Having this surgery has been a real blessing and at times a test of my will and strength. It was more than worth it and every day I am a new, healthier version of myself with more confidence and more passion for life than before.
The changes in my digestive system have brought on new cravings and another change in me. I cut out junk food, fast food, most fried foods and sodas or any kind of drink that's high in sugar. I've also decided to go vegetarian for a little while. So far this decision has been a good one as I'm feeling worlds lighter and more energized than before. I'm living off of Kashi cereals and granola, hummus, Planter's NUT-rition health mixes, (my favourites being the Digestive Health mix with dried cranberries and cherries, almonds, granola clusters and pistachios and the Omega 3 mix which includes walnuts, dried cherries and dark chocolate-covered soy nuts. A really healthy and yummy snack!) a lot of salads, fresh veggies and fruits and Morning Star vegetarian alternatives to meat. (I love the Garden Patties.)

Now that I've made all the changes for a healthier lifestyle, it's time to focus on my other goals/dreams. I want to be a Parelli Instructor really badly. This has been my dream for years and I've made the decision that I am going to do whatever it takes to realize this dream. (:

Now that we're all up to date again, I promise to try to blog more often. I'm really excited about sharing my journey.
Thanks for reading! More soon.
